The phenomenon that the surface layer material is continuously lost during the relative motion of the surfaces of the objects in contact with each other is called wear.

According to the length of wear and tear, it can be divided into two types: natural wear and accident wear.

The cause of accidental wear is caused by the following factors: defective machine structure, poor quality of parts and materials, poor manufacturing and processing of parts, incorrect assembly and installation of parts or machines, violation of the safety technical operating procedures and lubrication procedures of the machine, poor repair or The quality of repairs is not high and other causes of accidents. In general, when the natural wear and tear is not repaired in time, it is the main cause of accident wear.

(1) cooling and heat dissipation. Prevents the temperature of the parts from rising due to frictional heat generation, resulting in increased adhesion and corrosion wear, and even burns out rubber seals or bushings.

(2) Seal protection. Lubricating grease can effectively isolate moisture, oxygen and harmful media from moisture, and also prevent leakage of internal media. Grease can also prevent water, dust and impurities from entering the friction pair.

(3) Washing dirt. Abrasive particles will produce abrasive particles, and external impurities, dust and sand will aggravate the wear of the friction surface. Forced liquid circulation lubrication can take away the abrasive particles to reduce or avoid wear.

(4) Reduce friction and wear. Since the lubricating film can reduce the friction factor between the two moving parts, it will reduce the wear and tear of the parts, and at the same time, it can also play the role of damping and vibration absorption, thereby prolonging the life of the equipment, reducing power consumption and improving the running characteristics of the equipment.
